Kraków in Action

That project is a journey through communism era, nuances of the Polish language and less known facts about Kraków and Poland.

The project is a series of three events supporting the integration of people with migration and refugee experience and Krakow residents through learning Polish and discovering the multicultural heritage of the city.

Through games, joint walks and language workshops, we want to create a space for natural, free learning of language and culture, building relationships and mutual understanding.

Event 1 took place on October 25: guided walk through Nowa Huta, ending with integration meeting in the oldest milk bar in the city.

Event 2 took place on November 4: intensive Polish training organized in a cooperation with Multicultural Centre in Kraków.

Event 3 takes place on November 18: quiz night about unknown facts, scandals and stories from Kraków and Poland.

📌There is still time to register for the last event:

Talk Polish to Me! Interactive Polish language workshop, November 4 organized in cooperation with Multicultural Centre in Kraków and Marta Burza, teacher of Polish as a foreign language.

We have prepared all the activities from the scratch, trying to make the meeting as interactive as possible. Our main focus was to make participants speak, discuss and meet new people.

A walk through Nowa Huta (with a professional guide) ending with a snack at a milk bar, October 25. Event was conducted in English.

👩🏼‍🏫 Did you know that Nowa Huta was once planned as a perfect socialist city, with no churches and wide avenues for parades? Today, it’s one of Kraków’s most intriguing districts — full of contrasts, stories, and retro charm.

👣 We took our participants for a guided walk through that district to explore its monumental architecture, hidden corners, and everyday life behind the “iron curtain.” Our professional guide helped them feel the spirit of the communist era.

🍲After the walk, we finished with some classic Polish snacks at Stylowa, a legendary milk bar straight from the 1950s.
